Installation sticks on DATA DVD

RADAR repeatedly asks me to insert the Data DVD although it is already inserted

There are three possible reasons.

1.) The Roxio software, which is used to burn CDs and DVD, installs a concurrent UDF Reader which fails to read DVDs which are not created by the Roxio UDF file system. To check if this is the reason, insert the Data DVD and click on My Computer (Windows explorer). Right click on the DVD and choose properties. If the file system is reported as UDFRDR but you don't see any content of the DVD then you need to uninstall Roxio.

Solution:

Go to Start - Control Panel - Add or Remove programs (or Programs and Features under Vista) and select the Roxio software (Easy Media Creator, Easy CD Creator...) and uninstall it. You do not need to uninstall the Cineplayer.

Click on My Computer (the Windows explorer) and navigate to the folder C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\drivers

If you find any of these files:

    udfrdr.sys
    udfreadr.sys
    udfreadr_xp.sys

rename them to udfrdr.sys.deactivated, udfreadr.sys.deactivated and udfreadr_xp.sys.deactivated.

Reboot your computer. Insert the DATA DVD, open My Computer (Windows explorer) and right click on the DVD. The file system should now be reported as UDF and you should be able to browse through the content of the DVD.

2.) An older version of Nero Express could have installed the InCD driver incdfs.sys. To check if this is the reason, insert the Data DVD and click on My Computer (Windows explorer). Right click on the DVD and choose properties. If the file system is reported as InCD but you cannot see the content of the DVD, then you need to update InCD.

Solution:

Go to the Internet and search for the latest version of InCD. Download and install it to update InCD

3.) The media is not compatible with your DVD drive. Although every DVD should be readable on every DVD drive this is not always true. To check if this is the reason, insert the Data DVD and click on My Computer to open the Windows explorer. If the DVD is incompatible this might take a long time but once you see the DVD, right click on it and choose properties. This might take a long time too. If the file system is reported as unknown then the DVD is not compatible with your DVD drive or defective.

In this case contact Archibel Support who will create a special CD to replace the one that cannot be read.

Copy the required databases according to configuration and add the CD.xxx file according to the DVD Data
