Cause

This error message can appear due to a conflict with applications or drivers installed on the computer, especially the Microsoft Intellimouse driver (MSWHEEL, POINT32, ...).

Solution

Proceed as follows to install Archibel software onto the computer :

1. press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to display the "Task List" dialog box 
2. select each running application and click [END TASK] until all running programs EXCEPT Explorer and Systray are shut down 
3. repeat above step until the only applications appearing in the "Close Program" box are "Explorer" and "Systray 
4. If you install Radar/Exlibris/Winchip:
   
   • insert the Radar installation diskette and the Radar CD "Program + Multimedia
   • click on "Start" and choose "Run...",
   • type "A:\SETUP.EXE C:\RADAR" to start the Radar installation process
5. If you install the Anniversary CD, EasyRep, AcuVision or VHS:
   
   • insert the software CD in the drive. The installation process starts automatically
