Cause

This error occurs when the setup program finds an incompatible version of OLEAUT32.DLL, OLDPRO32.DLL, ASYCFILT.DLL or STDOLE2.TLB on your hard drive. The incompatible version was added to your computer by another program, not an ARCHIBEL program

when installaing an ARCHIBEL Program

Solution

There are two ways to remove these incompatible files:

1.

• Download and run this executable from Microsoft: download.microsoft.com/download/msninvestor/Patch/1.0/Win98/EN-US/mcrepair.exe

• When you run this executable, you must click Yes when prompted to overwrite newer files. Do not click No or No to All 
• Reboot the computer and start the setup program again

2.

• See Microsoft Technical Document 296: How to Restore Default Windows Files
• The files to restore are OLEAUT32.DLL, OLDPRO32.DLL, ASYCFILT.DLL and STDOLE2
• Restore the file to the \Windows\System folder on your hard drive
• Reboot the computer and start the setup program again
