How do I find a remedy that covers different symptoms in different books?

How to find a remedy that covers different symptoms in different books?

Answer

For the same remedy, one book of EH may mention a symptom which is not present in another book.

For example: one book may mention "haemorrhoids" for a given remedy and another book may mention "cirrhosis". Each symptom is only mentioned in that book.

If a patient presents with heamorrhoids and cirrhosis, you want to find that remedy, even if each book on its own contains only partial information.

Define this search by typing each symptom in the search window (F4) on a separate line:

haemorrhoids

cirrhosis

Then choose "View - analysis" (F8): a graph is created which shows all remedies which contain both haemorrhoids and cirrhosis. Even if the different symptoms are mentioned in separate books, they will appear in the graph for the same remedy.

The important point is to use "View - analysis" which has the extra advantage of a more precise graphical representation.

Each of the search words/terms is designated by a different colored bar in the graph. The number of times each word/term appears in the analysis is designated by the lenth of the bar in the graph.
