Why limiting the search within the same paragraph?
Answer
If you specify more than one word in a search, by default EH will limit the search to within a sentence. This means that these two (or more) words will be found if they are present within the same sentence. This will give you the best results most of the time.
However, if you do not find the result you wish, you can expand your search by extending the search area to a paragraph. A paragraph contains several related sentences;usually, more results will show up with this type of search.
One example: search on (remedy) helodrilus and nerve and numb (both as words).
By default (limited to search within a sentence), this gives 0 results
Now search for the remedy helodrilus, in combination with nerve and numb, within the same paragraph, and you will get a different result.
Look at the text below where the two keywords are in bold:
[knl2 - Helodrilus caliginosus - Face] 31:XX:XX - 05 - Before going to bed, neuralgia in chin, between lower lip, not extending to corners of mouth, down to end of chin. When I touched it, it stopped. Didn't hurt, felt like nerves are swelling up. About the size of a half a dollar. Lasted for about 20 minutes. Just before going numb.
The sentences in this text are rather short and do now show a result for the first search (limited to "within a sentence"). Limiting the search to "within a paragraph" brings the result.
